COSEBOC has a long history of hosting in-person and virtual events to bring educational and community leaders together to advance the development of boys and young men of color.
Our convenings provide opportunities for participants to learn about COSEBOC programs and services, share ideas and experiences, and talk through some of the most pressing issues facing our schools and communities.
Our signature convening, Gathering of Leaders, has grown into an annual event that brings together scholars, youth, and community leaders who are committed to personal and professional growth and the COSEBOC mission.
In order to keep the COSEBOC community together during the pandemic, we hosted several virtual events and will continue to create opportunities for our members to come together from remote locations.

“COSEBOC feels like a family — like I am around my people. We all had common goals and pursuits for building and creating better spaces for boys of color. COSEBOC is always engaging, disrupting the original narrative around conferences — even the word conference wasn’t used. Instead, the word was ‘gathering.’ It is always a beautiful blend of research, practice, and community.”
