COSEBOC Teleconference Series: Conversations with Influential Thought Leaders

Join us for the start of our 2017-18 Teleconference Series: Boys and Young Men of Color: Liberated, Empowered and Educated

On October 4, 2017, the Coalition of Schools Educating Boys of Color is proud to announce the launch of its 2nd annual educational teleconference series, Conversations with Influential Thought Leaders. The goal of this series is to create, deepen and strengthen the capacity of educators and advocates dedicated to the affirmative development of boys and young men of color. 

We are honored to have Dr. Gloria Ladson Billings as our first presenter. Dr. Ladson-Billings is a national educational treasure and the leading expert on cultural responsive education. She will present a wealth of experience, strategies and tools for every participant on the call dedicated to the affirmative development of boys and young men of color. 

Her deep commitment  to the building of equity centered, respectful and healthy cultural responsive classroom and school environments is unparalleled. As you can see from her resume, Dr. Ladson-Billings has been recognized worldwide for her contributions to education. She will be asked to react and respond with thoughts and ideas to the 2018 COSEBOC theme, Boys and Young Men of Color: Liberated, Empowered and Educated.  We anticipate a spirited, lively and informative conversation.
