On Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 4pm EST, COSEBOC is proud to announce Richard Taylor as our 5th speaker in our 2018-19 educational teleconference series, Conversations with Deep Thinkers. The goal of this series is to create, deepen and strengthen the capacity of educators and advocates dedicated to the affirmative development of boys and young men of color.

Conversations with Deep Thinkers is a powerful forum for learning and inquiry. In these one-hour teleconference calls, Ron Walker engages prominent leaders in an inquiry that is focused on COSEBOC's 2019 theme: Boys & Young Men of Color: Ready to Learn, Honored to Serve, Destined to Lead. These conversations are followed by a Q&A inviting audience participation.

At the age of 30, Richard Taylor Jr., on a mission to be a voice of love & healing for his generation and the generations to come. His high-energy motivational youtube series “Getting Over The Hump," World renown podcast “Between The Dream” and 5 best selling books have quickly positioned him as one of the fastest growing speakers in the US.

Richard’s story of overcoming morbid obesity, depression, suicide, failing in college and domestic abuse, have struck a change within people throughout different walks of life. His message breaks cultural boundaries and challenges bias social norms. Richard inspires the masses to tap into their inner potential to create the change they want to see.

In his new book, The Other Side: Freedom from Depression and Suicide, Richard guides us through some of the practices that helped him pursue his freedom from depression, along with his attempts and thoughts of suicide.
