Appreciation for Our Community of COSEBOC Educators

Appreciation for Our Community of COSEBOC Educators

As the 2023-24 school year comes to an end, we are sending care, respect and tremendous appreciation to our community of COSEBOC educators. We know that the 2023-24 school year has been a challenging one. In our conversations with the COSEBOC community of educators across the nation, we hear and applaud your commitment to supporting the academic, social and emotional needs of boys and young men of color. Whether in Cleveland, Cambridge, Montclair, Austin, Portland, Newton, Philadelphia, Chicago, NYC, Chapel Hill/Carrboro or Boston, the COSEBOC network is and has been rising to meet the challenges of racial injustice and inequities in our schools. We see you working relentlessly to affirm the strengths of the boys and young men and to provide the connection, community and support that they deserve each and every day. From our team at COSEBOC to your hearts and spirits, we see you, we applaud you, we salute you and we walk with you. Thank you for all that you do to lead onward in pursuit of justice and equity for boys and young men of color in partnership with COSEBOC.

We also want to applaud and appreciate the talented and dedicated team of leaders at COSEBOC who facilitate our programs for adult learning and provide coaching to our partners in schools: Kamau Ptah, Timothy Jones, Jamila Sams, Dr. Deidre Farmbry, Robin Harris and Gene Thompson-Grove. Thank you for providing innovative and equity-driven learning for our partners in schools, and for bringing the passion, experience, heart and vision for transforming schools for and with boys and young men of color.

We are honored and humbled to walk with such a powerful community of educators.

In partnership,
