GOL19: Speakers

COSEBOC is pleased to announce our featured speakers for the 13th Annual Gathering of Leaders:

  • Dr. Michael Lindsey is a noted scholar in the field of child and adolescent mental health and a leading researcher on generational poverty and inequality. He serves as Executive Director of the McSilver Institute for Poverty Policy and Research and as Professor of Poverty Studies in the NYU Silver School of Social Work.
  • Shawn Ginwright, PhD, is an author, activist, and leading expert on African American youth, youth activism, and youth development. He serves as Associate Professor of Education in the Africana Studies Department and Senior Research Associate for the Cesar Chavez Institute for Public Policy at San Francisco State University.
  • Dr. Phyllis Hubbard is the Director of Black Male Achievement (BMA) Health and Healing Strategies, an innovative wellness endeavor functioning within the Campaign for Black Male Achievement (CBMA). BMA Health and Healing Strategies seeks to improve the health and well-being outcomes of leaders working on behalf of the Black community. Dr. Hubbard is replacing Velencia Clay.
