COSEBOC offers professional development for school leaders building on the foundation of our Standards and Promising Practices for Schools Educating Boys of Color:
- Online community of members - dissemination and posting of resources; facilitated online discussion of resources, inquiries and ideas enables real time technical assistance. Learn more
- Webinars - series of webinars for members led by nationally respected education practitioners and policy-makers providing current information on key topics. Learn more
- Annual Gathering of Leaders - annual convening of school leaders and their allies for intensive opportunities to share promising practices, current research, policy/advocacy updates, collegiality, challenges and inspiration. Learn more
- Mississippi Leadership Academy - a intensive series of professional development opportunities provided for 25 early learning and elementary school leaders in Mississippi, funded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. Learn more
- Standards-based Professional Development Services - workshops to provide groups of educators with a working knowledge of COSEBOC's Standards and Promising Practices for Schools Educating Boys of Color and to help them assess the strengths and gaps in their own schools and analyze the leadership skills and beliefs necessary to implement the Standards in their own school.
