Professional Development Services

COSEBOC offers an introductory workshop for groups of educators/administrators designed to provide them with a working knowledge of COSEBOC's Standards and Promising Practices for Schools Educating Boys of Color.  Participants will learn to assess the strengths and gaps in their own school, analyze their leadership skills, adopt beliefs, plan and implement actions necessary to reframe their own leadership using the Standards.  This 3 hour workshop is facilitated by experienced educators; a maximum of 25 school leaders, teachers and administrators can participate.

Gathering of Leaders Discount 

School leaders and their allies convene for an intensive three days to share promising practices, current research, policy/advocacy updates, collegiality, challenges and inspiration.  The 7th annual Gathering of Leaders will be held on April 25-27, 2013 in Chicago, Illinois, hosted by the University of Illinois at Chicago.  The theme will be Young, Gifted and Literate: Boys and Young Men of Color Prepared for the Future.
